Supporting our own Folk – family in need – CLOSED & Thank you note!

We would just like to thank everyone who has donated, bought items or spread the word, you have all been fantastic and thanks to you all we have raised $2500 for this family.

On the 4th of April 2015 we presented the family with all the money and Sleipnir for baby Varro. Here is the letter we got from the baby’s mother:

“Thank you for that amazing gift for when we travel to Melbourne I found the page that you had up I read it and made me cry just like the card did on Saturday thank you so so so much means so much to us knowing we have friends/family like all of you xoxoxoxo”

and another one from the baby’s father:

I would like to thank everybody involved with the fundraiser for my sons next lot of heart surgery. That extra money now means ill be able to stay away from work the whole time he’s in hospital. Without the help of everybody involved this would have not been possible. Once again I would just like to thank you all for you kindness and let you all know how much I appreciate the help.

Best Regards

Alex & family

Things like this really shows that what we do is important and has a huge impact on people’s lives. This is what it’s all about, coming together and helping our own.
Hail our Folk!

WAU and the SCHS are doing a joint fundraiser for a family in need. This family have a baby who will need major heart operation just after his 1st birthday, this will be his 3rd surgery. While the medical expenses will be covered, the surgery will be conducted Interstate and this will require them to stay there with their son for 3-4 weeks. So there are quite a few other expenses that they just can’t afford. It would be devastating if the father was unable to stay with his family during this ordeal due to lack of funds. The family is well known to all of us, he is a POTN and they are an Odinist family. They are fantastic people, and are always willing to lend a hand to others in need, it is now our turn to return the favour.

They are our own people and as a Folk we all need to help our own. If anyone is willing to help out with a few dollars, please contact for details.
